HA NOI — Ha Van Son won the sixth stage of the Return to the Countryside cycling tournament on Monday.
Son of Binh Duong won the 72km from Can Tho to Soc Trang City with a time of 1:58.32.
Kim San and Yoeun Phi Yuth of Cambodia finished second and third, respectively.
Quang Van Cuong of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi-An Giang holds the yellow jersey for the best overall time of 15:36.59 after six stages. Yuth and Nguyen Minh Luan of Premium Cycling Vinh Long are second and third.
Yuth retained the green jersey for best sprinter with 84 points.
Cuong helped his team Gao Hat Ngoc Troi-An Giang to lead in the team’s rankings with a total time of 46:51.56, followed by Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap and Premium Cycling Vinh Long.
In the amateur event, Bui Van Sanh holds the yellow jersey.
Cyclists will compete in a 48km race around Soc Trang City on Tuesday. — VNS
