HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Football Federation (VFF) handed over a donation of VNĐ500 million (US$21,700) to the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee on Wednesday.
The funds are to help the work on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
VFF’s vice president Trần Quốc Tuấn emphasised that this money represents the heart of the federation, with the desire to contribute more resources to help the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Tuấn said the VFF as well as its members, clubs and training centres, have been continuing to strictly implement the Prime Minister's direction on urgent measures to prevent and control the pandemic. Currently, all domestic football activities have been halted and tournaments postponed.
Trần Thanh Mẫn, secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front thanked and welcomed the VFF for its active support. — VNS
