HÀ NỘI -- Coach Diego Giustozzi admitted Việt Nam's poor ability in scoring after two matches at the AFC Asian Futsal Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.
Việt Nam scored only one goal in their 1-0 win over China on April 19. The goal was also from a penalty in the 11th minute.
Earlier, they were tied 1-1 by Myanmar in the opening game which saw many chances wasted.
Both China and Myanmar were considered at a lower level compared to the two-time World Cup participating Việt Nam.
"It's true that we had problems in finishing. The results could have been better in the last two matches if we did well in the end," Giustozzi said.
"We defended well. We created a lot of opportunities but need to be calmer in the decisive passes and finishes."
However he thought it was normal as teams were playing at a World Cup qualifier where players were under high pressure.
The Argentinean coach was still glad with the win and believed that his side would do much better in the next match when they play powerhouse Thailand.
"I am satisfied with my players. It's difficult to choose who the best one is. As you can see, during the 80 minutes of play, Việt Nam always emphasised the team spirit. All individuals came out and completed their tasks, including new members who competed for the first time in the World Cup qualifiers.
"We can see that no team could have an easy win in this year's Cup. After two matches, we have four points. I'm pleased with them and of course with the whole team we will focus on the next match," he said. VNS
