HA NOI — Viet Nam ranked second at the 14th SEA Youth Athletics Championships 2019 which closed in the Philippines on Sunday.
The Vietnamese participants secured seven golds, nine silvers and 11 bronzes in the two-day competition.
Thailand topped the rankings with 17 titles. Malaysia finished third with four.
Among the Vietnamese winners were Nguyen Thu Quyen in the women’s 1500m (4min 42.42sec), Nguyen Van Huy in the men’s 1500m (4:06.43), Nguyen Thanh Sang in the men’s 800m (1:56.50) and Le Thi Kim Phuong in the women’s 800m (2:14.34). — VNS
