HA NOI — The Viet Nam U16 team will meet Thailand in the semi-finals of the AFF U16 Girls’ Championship in Indonesia on Friday.
The team defeated Malaysia 1-0 in the last round of Group A on Wednesday, to become runners-up of the group and enter the semi-finals.
Viet Nam played with their best line-up in the match. Kim En scored the only goal for Viet Nam in the 43rd minute to help the team reach the final four.
In another Group A match, Myanmar crushed the Philippines 7-1.
With this result, both Myanmar and Viet Nam finished the group round with 10 points. However, Myanmar took hold of the first position, while Viet Nam finished second after scoring fewer goals. — VNS
