HCM CITY — The Mekong Delta provinces boast wonderful sites for a holiday getaway during upcoming Lunar New year, with beautiful landscapes, flowers, wild birds and religious spots.
At Cai Mon flower village in Cho Lach District in Ben Tre Province, visitors can see locals hurrying to harvest and sell many kinds of flowers.
A trip to the village in the final day of the lunar year is an uplifting experience.
Visitors can also spend a day at recreational complexes in Ben Tre and enjoy water biking, zip-lining, sailing and fishing.
Located about three hours from HCM City, Can Tho City is another attractive destination in southern Viet Nam. Despite its rapid economic growth, the so-called "western capital" of Viet Nam still retains the typical riverine culture.
If you are visiting here for the first time, you should not miss the early morning floating market. The lifestyle of the people and the myriad simple breakfast dishes will make getting up early worth it.
