Local people have accidentally unearthed nearly 100 age-old cannon
balls recently at a site located 3km away from the world-heritage Ho
Dynasty Citadel, Vinh Loc district, central Thanh Hoa province.
Go Nguc (Prison Mound), a part of the Ho Dynasty
Citadel, has been excavated for archaeological research, according to
the Ho Dynasty Citadel Preservation Centre.
The Ho Dynasty Citadel in central Thanh Hoa province
received its UNESCO World Cultural Heritage certificate at a ceremony
on Saturday, after being recognised last June.
Culture and festivals at the Ho Dynasty Citadel will
be revived by performers in a ceremony that will be officially
recognised for its world culture heritage in June.
