The Tan Trao historical site, a Special National
Relic in the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang, has received
400,000 visitors so far this year.
Tuyen Quang won the 12-14 years group at the National Junior Pencak
Silat Championships which concluded in the northern province of Tuyen
Quang at the weekend.
The 8th Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival of
North-eastern Ethnic People will be held from September 27-30 in Tuyen
Quang Province as part of the 2012 Tuyen Quang Culture and Tourism Week.
Archaeologists from the Viet Nam Archaeological
Institute and Tuyen Quang Museum unearthed several relics in Son Duong
district of Tuyen Quang province in an excavation early this year, said
Ly Manh Thang, deputy director of the provincial museum.
Cultural authorities of the northwestern province of
Tuyen Quang are completing a profile on hat then (then singing) to
submit to UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
