Viet Nam took the lead in the first day of the third Southeast Asian
Vovinam Championships in Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar on Wednesday, winning
five golds, four silvers and one bronze medal.

top position at the event with 18 gold medals in both performance and
combat events.
Vovinam would feature at the 27th Southeast Asian
Games to be held in Myanmar next year, general secretary of the World
Vovinam Federation Vo Danh Hai has announced.
Vietnamese martial arts master Nguyen Chanh Tu will
once again instruct Algerian martial artists as they prepare for the
third World Vovinam Championship in France in 2013.
