American maestro David Itkin and Vietnamese
violinist Vu Viet Chuong will perform at a concert celebrating 20 years
of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and the US at the HCM City
Opera House on Thursday.
Leading artists of the HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera
(HBSO) and France''s La Fabrique Opera will perform the popular French
opera Carmen on Sunday and next Monday at the HCM City Opera House.
The 10th Autumn Melodies Arts Festival to be held at
the HCM City Opera House later this month will feature more than 100
Vietnamese and nearly 30 international artists.
The HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera
will perform 10 original soundtracks from the most famous Walt Disney
movies under the baton of Dutch maestro Jan Stulen tomorrow.

The year''s last free monthly performance under the
Youth Melody Programme to educate younger generations about music and
dance by the HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera will be a
special show featuring musical excerpts from famous foreign films.
Three German artists, violinist Hellen Weiss,
cellist Gabriel Adriano Schwabe and conductor Alexander Merzyn will
perform in a special concert held this Sunday at the HCM City Opera
House.
The classical ballet Coppelia choreographed by
Johanne Jakhelln Constant of Norway will be restaged by the HCM City
Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) at HCM City''s Opera House
next Thursday after two successful premiere nights in August.
Dutch maestro and educator Jan Stulen will be the
guest conductor for the HCM City symphony orchestra next Thursday at its
"Beethoven and Prokofiev" concert.
The HCM City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera
will host its first performance of the year, a New Year Gala Concert,
conducted by Tran Nhat Minh at the Opera House tomorrow.
