HA NOI — Finalists of Miss Viet Nam 2018 got down and dirty to help clear rubbish from Cua Lo Beach in the central province of Nghe An on July 19-22.
The effort was part of a campaign dubbed "Keep Me Clean – Keep Me Save" launched by the Muong Thanh Hospitality Group. More than 10,000 people took part in the campaign.
The country has more than 1 million square kilometres of sea, over 2,770 islands and a range of beaches from north to south promising vast benefits for the maritime economy. However, it faced pollution issues, according to Le Xuan Son, head of the contest’s organising board.
The inspiring event had left a good impression on tourists and local people, he said. — VNS
