HCM CITY — French musician and singer Dorothée Hannequin, aka The Rodeo, and her team members will offer a special performance at the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) in HCM City on February 22.
She will show off her sensual, sharp voice with her famous songs such as Ivre d’amour (Drunk with Love), Thérianthropie Paradis (Therianthropy Paradise), When the Storm is Over, and Devil in Me.
Her music style combines pop and rock and is inspired by Europop between the 1960s and 1970s.
The artist will sing and play guitar along with bassist Jérôme Laperruque, drummer Antoine Kerninon, keyboard player Mathieu Geghre, and guitarist Laurent Blot.
The artist, whose mother is Vietnamese and father French, discovered music at the age of 15.
She has travelled around the world to seek inspiration for her songs.
She has released three albums in French, including Music Maelström, La Musica del Diavolo (The Music of the Diavolo), and Thérianthropie Paradis.
She has toured frequently across France and other European countries.
Hannequin is also known for an actress, a costume designer and a film producer. She has taken part in films such as When the Storm Is Over and Dom Juan and Sganarelle.
