HCM CITY— First runner-up of Miss Viet Nam 2018, Bui Phuong Nga, will compete in the Miss Grand International 2018 in Yangon, Myanmar today.
Nga, who is 1.72 metres tall and weighs 49 kilogrammes, studies at the National Economics University in Ha Noi.
The 20-year-old has appeared on the cover page of several magazines for students.
She has also received top prizes at dance, music and song contests launched by the Ha Noi Department of Education and Training and Youth Union.
On the fanpage of Miss Grand International 2018, Nga’s video features messages about love and peace. On the clip, she introduces Ha Noi’s culture and lifestyle to the world.
The sixth Miss Grand International 2018 has attracted 80 contestants from different countries and territories.
The contestants will be judged on knowledge and appearance. Their appearance will be based on physique and costumes, both modern and traditional.
The top 10 contestants will be selected for the final on October 25.
Last year, first-runner up of Miss Viet Nam 2014 Huyen My was named among the Top 10 at Miss Grand International 2017 held on Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang Province. — VNS
