HCM CITY — A music video with performances of 20 singers, dancers, musicians and theatre artists will be released on March 20 to encourage people during the spread of the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that causes Covid-19.
The work, Chung Tay Phòng Chống Corona (We Work Together to Prevent Covid-19 Outbreak), is composed by Lê Hồng Phúc.
The song’s theme is “The world is suffering from Covid-19. We should join hand in hand to share, support and love in this time.”
It features solutions to prevent Covid-19, such as hand washing and mask wearing in public places.
Love and solidarity are also highlighted.
The MV has attracted veteran and young singers such as Đoan Trường, Nguyên Vũ and Trương Như Ý.
Meritorious Artist and cải lương (reformed opera) star Quế Trân, comic actor Tấn Beo, and movie actress Hiền Mai together sing and dance.
The artists used masks during their recording in the studio.
“Our work is quality in both music and images. We hope it sends messages about love, belief and sharing and best wishes to people of different backgrounds and skin colours around the world, ” said young singer Quỳnh Trân.
“Many artists have cancelled and delayed their projects during Covid-19, but they still keep the belief and have an optimistic spirit in mind,” she said. — VNS
