HÀ NỘI The most compelling graphic designs for advertising have gone on show at the Việt Nam Fine Arts Association in Hà Nội.
The exhibition displays designs from over a hundred artists including lecturers and students from six fine arts colleges in the whole nation, the first of its kind to be held by the association.
The designs range from artwork for major diplomatic events to handicrafts such as one paying homage to a legendary beer mug and ceramic vases, alongside designs for the food and music industries.
"The artists and the students across the country have brought to the exhibition many designs with different styles and techniques," said Lê Tiến Vượng, a member of the organisation board.
Việt Nam's advertising market has a growth rate of 2023, the third in Southeast Asia, according to Vượng. This also means that the need for recruiting personnel in the industry will increase significantly in the coming years.
"The exhibition will be an opportunity to get ideas, make connections and establish cooperations," said Vượng.
Hopefully, the exhibition will be held in large-scale in other cities with the participation of a large number of Vietnamese designers and international designers to promote Vietnamese graphic art, according to Vượng.
The exhibition runs until June 24 at Exhibition House, No16 Ngô Quyền Street, with a seminar on the closing day. VNS
