The orchestra will play Mitch Leigh’s The Impossible Dream, Johann Baptist Georg Neruda's Trumpet Concerto, and Mozart's Symphony No 40 amongst other compositions.

The concert is held annually as a part of Toyota Classics  series which has been promoting classical music to support charities across Asia since 1990.

This year, Toyota Classics will feature concerts in Laos, Thailand, Brunei, Malaysia, Cambodia and Việt Nam from October 18 to November 8.

Established in 1921, LCO is the oldest chamber orchestra in the United Kingdom. It comprises some of the top musicians and has a rich history at the heart of classical music over the last hundred years.

LCO has premiered works by many significant 20th century figures such as Stravinsky, Bloch and Vaughan Williams, as well as modern composers such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, James MacMillan and Graham Fitkin.

Based at Cadogan Hall in London, LCO runs its own education and outreach project called Music Junction, which brings together young people from a variety of backgrounds to develop their social and musical skills. — VNS
