HÀ NỘI — Singer-songwriter Lê Cát Trọng Lý will present a mini-show in Hà Nội tonight.
Her show is the first in the concert series La Plume and the Friends, which will play on the last Saturday night of every month at the La Plume Bar & Lounge -- a favourite destination for locals and expat nights out.
The 29-year-old singer conquers audiences with her simple lyrical compositions and her natural performance style. Whenever she raises her voice with her guitar, she doesn’t just sing: she confides her stories to audiences. Lý has also composed soundtracks for movies, including Cuộc Đời Của Yến (Life of Yến) and Công Binh: The Lost Fighters of Vietnam.
In 2011, the Đà Nẵng native did her first cross-country tour, offering free performances for a month. She also won Songwriter of the Year at the Devotion Music Awards that year.
At her show tonight, Lý will present her hits in a new style. The La Plume Bar & Lounge is located in the Press Club Building at 59A Lý Thái Tổ Street, on the 3rd floor. The show runs from 8.30-10.30pm.— VNS
