HA NOI — Vintage Art – West Town festival will start today in Ha Noi, inspired by the international aesthetic tradition of Bohemianism.
The festival space will be decorated with indigenous huts, an installation of 500 pin wheels and Bohemian objects collected from around the world.
Participants will enjoy music performances by FS1, FINAL and GAS bands, singer Le Vu Binh, indie artist Tran The Hoang, and dancers from Ha Noi-based Angelo Dance Studio Japan.
Various activities will be organised such as henna, a form of body art to create designs on skin without the permanent effects of a tattoo; tarot cards reading, using tarot cards to gain insight into the past, present or future; and playing kendama, a wooden traditional Japanese toy consisting of a ken (handle) and tama (ball) connected by a length of string.
One hundred booths will be set up to trade artworks, fashion, accessories and handmade products.
Vintage Art – West Town festival was organised for the first time in 2014. The annual event has become a rendezvous for young people and art lovers.
The three-day event will take place at Big C Thang Long shopping centre, 111 Tran Duy Hung Street, Ha Noi. — VNS
