MEKONG DELTA — The Food and Tourism Week opens Thusday in the Golden City area in Long Xuyen City in the southern province of An Giang.
The event, organised by An Giang Tourism Promotion Centre, introduces local specialties and vendors who offer high-quality food and services.
The one-week event includes 500 booths divided into three zones: traditional handicraft villages, local specialties and tourist products; a food court; and a trading zone.
Products from many sectors are on display, including traditional handicrafts, real estate, wood furniture, tourism products, and more.
There is also an exhibition of photos about An Giang tourism and careers in the field.
To attract more visitors, event organisers have invited popular musicians from HCM City such as Dam Vinh Hung, Phi Nhung, Giao Linh, Truong Giang, Thanh Duy, and Ly Hung.
Huynh Nhu Lam, director of An Giang Tourism Promotion Centre, said the event would promote An Giang specialties as well as tourism. — VNS
