HCM CITY – Pop singer Ha Anh Tuan will perform at the “New York – City of Dreams” concert for overseas Vietnamese in New York on August 19.
The show is organised by the Association of Vietnamese Students and Professionals in the United States (AVSPUS).
Tuan will sing his signature ballad and R&B songs which have been a hit among the Vietnamese youth for a decade or so, ever since he rose to fame in the Sao Mai – Redezvous television singing contest.
The 32-year-old become a phenomena on YouTube with his See – Sing – Share show that broadcast 20 music videos introducing longstanding favourite songs in acoustic style last two years.
Last year, he organised two concerts in Ha Noi and HCM City that attracted a large number of audience.
Tuan has released six solo albums to date, with Cafe Sang (Morning Cafe, 2007), and Saigon Radio (2009) receiving raving responses from both critics and the audience. He has also recorded two albums with his “stage love” Phuong Linh.
After returning from New York, Tuan will host a live concert Mong Manh (Fragile) in Ha Noi next month. — VNS
