A pop up shop, film screening and art talk on skateboarding will be held from 6pm to 10pm tonight at Work Room Four.

Gia Luu, a Vietnamese born American currently residing in Ha Noi will present c.r.e.a.m inc -- his art/culture street entity and brain child.

The relations and impact of creativity, identity, race and lifestyle and it’s correlation to skateboarding culture will be explored at the event, which also features Luu’s unique personal journey.

c.r.e.a.m inc. will also release their first run of limited, collectible culture inspired apparel and accessories.

Another side project of Luu is The Hanoi Report, which is about documenting and strengthening the skateboard culture in Ha Noi.

“Events similar to this really only happen in larger metropolitan cities, so in addition to giving the locals that community experience of getting together to support and enjoy something, I hope it will be a memorable experience that will have a lasting effect on them,” Luu said.

The Hanoi Report will premier a new skate art film called Sk8 Tape -- a juxtaposition of images and music, a raw 80’s vhs inspired skate video.

Throughout the evening, the creator will select a special audio and visual mix that represents and inspires the brand and lifestyle.

There will be a special video interview screening and Q&A with the creator of this event. Special music and visual selection will be played throughout the evening starting at 6pm.

Work Room Four is located on the 24th floor, Packexim Building, Lane 15, An Duong Vuong Street, Tay Ho District. — VNS
