HA NOI — Viet Nam Heritage Day was celebrated on Friday at Thang Long Royal Citadel, 19C Hoang Dieu Street, Ha Noi.
It’s a chance for local people and tourists to enjoy various cultural activities such as water puppetry, tug-of-war and calligraphy exhibition, all at a free entrance event.
On the occasion, traditional musical will be performed such as quan ho (Bac Ninh Province’s love duets), cheo (traditional operetta) and folk singing of the ethnic groups of Tay, Thai and Nung.
The performances will feature troupes from different provinces and cities, creating a chance for the artists to exchange.
The event is organised by the Viet Nam Federation of UNESCO Associations and Hemera Media Company to promote the culture and tourism of different regions. — VNS
