HA NOI — Thousands of Hanoians and international tourists enjoyed Michelin-starred rice with braised chicken by chefs of Hawker Chan Restaurant sold at the Singapore Festival held over the weekend in centralHa Noi.
Hawker Chan was one of several restaurants introducing Singaporean delicacies at the festival.
The festival was divided into different areas called tribes. Culture Shaper Tribe showed art installations, cultural performances and films, Foodie Tribe offered experiences of various delicacies, Collector Tribe included pop-up showcases of homegrown brands, Explorer Tribe introduced tours and destinations and Socialiser Tribe presented music performances.

The opening ceremony was attended by Teo Chee Hean, the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Ambassador Catherine Wong Siow Ping and Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.
Nguyen Ha Le brought her children to the festival and felt like they were on a vacation in Singapore.
"My children love playing on a replica of the sand beach at Sentosa area. I visited Singapore years ago and now feel like that the festival truly brings some corners of Singapore to Ha Noi."
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the Embassy of Singapore in Ha Noi and the city’s People’s Committee organised the event. — VNS
