Learning a Japanese wrapping technique

Junior high school students with Japanese language proficiency equivalent to N5 (minimum) are invited to learn about furoshiki, a traditional Japanese method of wrapping cloth.

The workshop will be held at Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam on Sunday, July 9.

Furoshiki is mostly used for wrapping gifts, carrying goods or just as a decor accessory. A wide variety of designs and sizes are available, so based on your own taste you can choose what design and size you would like to use.

There will be two class sections, 9-11.30am, and 2-4.30pm. Limit: 28 people/class.

Participation fee: VND60,000/person. Register at the reception desk in the library on the first floor. Please pay registration fee directly to the receptionist. Do not sign up by mail, phone.

Note: Please prepare the item you wish to pack with a furoshiki (size 70 by 70cm). Furoshiki cloths will be prepared by the organiser.
