HA NOI — A special stamp, celebrating the upcoming second summit between US President Donald Trump and DPRK chairman leader Kim Jong Un and transmitting the messages “Viet Nam – A safe and friendly destination” and “Ha Noi - A City for Peace”, was released on February 26.
The stamp is being produced by the Ministry of Information and Communications in co-operation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The stamp was designed by painters Nguyen Du va To Minh Trang from the Vietnam Post and features two hands shaking with flags of the US and North Korea on the background of peaceful bamboo range – a typical image of Vietnamese countryside. The stamp also has the Vietnamese flag and peace dove with the phrase "partnership for sustainable peace".
It measures 43mm x 32mm and is priced at VND4,000 (US$0.20).
Vina Post has set up a stall to serve post and stamp collection demands at the Viet Xo Culture Friendship Palace for the more than 3,000 journalists working at the site during the summit. — VNS
