HA NOI — The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has created a new title to honour individuals devoted to preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
The People’s Artisan title is the first such State-level honour for artisans. President Nguyen Phu Trong signed a decision to acknowledge the devotion of 62 artisans.
Giving titles to the artisans aims to appreciate their devotion to national cultural heritage.
Many of them are at an old age, like Nguyen Phu De, 96, from Hai Duong Province and Nguyen Thi Vuon, 94, from Ha Noi in the field of ca tru (ceremonial singing). — VNS
