HÀ NỘI – A book entitled Chủ Tịch Hồ Chí Minh, Người Đặt Nền Móng Cho Quan Hệ Việt Nam – Thái Lan Hiện Đại (PRESIDENT HO CHI MINH, The Founder of Modern Vietnam - Thailand Relations) will be released in English.
The book in Vietnamese by Assistant Professor, Dr Trương Thị Hằng from Rajabhat Lampang University and in Thai by Professor Chuan Petkaew from the Suratthani Rajabhat University was published last year on the occasion of 90 years since President Hồ Chí Minh worked in Thailand and 50 years of the implementation of his testament.
The English version is translated by Assistant Professor, Dr Prachacksha Saisang, former lecturer Naresuan University from the five-chapter Vietnamese version.
It highlights President Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology of international solidarity as well as his journey to spread patriotism in Thailand.

“We hope that this book will remind readers from all over the world about the great merits of national heroes who devote and sacrifice their whole life for a better world,” Hằng said.
“Researches on the relationship between President Hồ Chí Minh and leaders and people in Southeast Asian countries will promote relationship between Việt Nam and other countries in the region.”
The book aims to celebrate President Hồ Chí Minh’s 130th birthday to help readers worldwide to understand better about his life, career and strong sentiment towards Thailand and its people, which were fundamental for the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Assistance Professor, Dr Kittisak Samuttharak, head of Rajabhat Lampang University expresses his pleasure and pride about the English version. He said that the book is a great effort of the authors and it shows the relationship between Việt Nam and Thailand.
It will be given to the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, leaders of Lampang Province, the Thailand - Việt Nam Friendship Association along with relic sites and museums in the country.
The book has been sent to libraries of 100 universities and academies in Thailand, helping local researchers and readers understand more about President Hồ Chí Minh and his role in building the fruitful relationship between Việt Nam and Thailand.
The Lampang Rajabhat University is scheduled to present the book to the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, leaders of Lampang province, the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Vietnamese Association in Thailand, universities in Thailand’s northern provinces, along with relic sites and museums in the country on May 22. – VNS
