HA NOI — World cup winning former French football star, Christian Karembeu, will arrive in Viet Nam to meet Vietnamese fans at the Hoa Lu Stadium, HCM City, on December 23.
He will be in the city for a live broadcast of the El Clasico game between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
At the event, Karembeu and commentators of the K+ cable TV channel will analyse and give a commentary on the El Clasico game. A 500-inch projector screen will be installed at the stadium for a live broadcast of the match.
The Spanish La Liga’s organising board selected Viet Nam as one of seven countries to bring its ambassador to meet fans.
The other six countries are Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and India, as well as China and Kenya.
The 47-year-old retired international footballer won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 1998 and 2000. — VNS
