HÀ NỘI – The Korean Tourism Organisation (KTO) on Thursday honoured Vietnamese partners during 2019 at an award ceremony held in Hà Nội.
“The exchange between Việt Nam and RoK has been blooming during the year, we can see the dramatically successful co-operation between travel companies of the two countries,” said Park Jong-sun, head of KTO.
By September, the number of Korean tourists to Việt Nam reached 3.1 million, increasing 22.5 per cent in comparison with the same period last year. Meanwhile, the number of Vietnamese tourists to RoK was 521,000 by November, increasing 21.9 per cent in comparison with the same period last year.
“During this year, we have introduced many new tours and packages, some designed exclusively for Vietnamese travellers, receiving the support and collaboration from 10 big travel companies of Việt Nam,” said Park.
“We have hosted many fam trips for Vietnamese journalists and influencers as well as conferences and roadshows promoting Korean tourism and culture in Việt Nam.”
“Thanks to the positive attempts, we estimate that Việt Nam will remain one among the most important markets of Korean tourism,” he said.
During the award ceremony, the award for Best Strategic Partner went to Vietravel Company. The award for Best Creative Partner went to Saigontourist and HanoiRedtours companies. VNS
