Popular Vietnamese artists, including singers Hong Nhung, My Linh, Trong Tan, Dang Duong and Duc Tuan, will perform songs by other veteran Vietnamese including Du Kich Song Thao (Thao River Guerrillas), Huong Ve Ha Noi (Longing for Ha Noi), Ca Ngoi Ho Chu Tich (Honourable President Ho), Ha Noi Niem Tin va Hy Vong (Ha Noi – Faith and Hope).

The show will start at 2pm at the Opera House, and will be broadcast live on VCTV.

At 9pm tonight, a stunning fireworks performance will take place at four different locations across the city. Hanoians and visitors will be able to enjoy the 15-minute colourful performance at Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake in Ba Dinh District, Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung District, and Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong District.

A children's musical performance will also take place tonight at the open-air stage at 16 Le Thai To Street by Hoan Kiem Lake. The show will be one of several free musical performances to be held in 15 cities and provinces nationwide to celebrate Viet Nam Music Day on September 3.

Under the batons of conductors Do Hong Quan and Pham Ngoc Khoi, Viet Nam Symphony Orchestra, Viet Nam Traditional Instrument Orchestra, and a choir will perform symphonies by Vietnamese musicians.

The Youth Music show, which will take place at Ly Thai To Square tonight, will feature performances by artists from the Thang Long Song and Dance Theatre.

The pedestrianised area in front of Dong Xuan Market will be turned into a stage for the artists of a folk art troupe under the Music Development Centre. The shows will start at 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
