Music, dance festival helps disadvantaged kids

HCM CITY  (VNS) — Saigon Outcast will host the Melting Pot festival to raise funds for charities to help local disadvantaged children. The two-day event will include day-long music and dance performances of local and foreign artists on December 5 and 6.

The first day will highlight pop, acoustic, rock and rap music by DJs, singers, rappers and bands like Bui Gio Band, 9th Dimension, Hazard Clique Saigon, Suboi, and Maraphoria and Starchild.

The second day will feature dance performances by American dancer Emily Navarra and hip-hop street dance crew X-Clown, and music shows by DJs Saigonlag and Slo-Lo, and the Javana band. The city-based Lang Kinh Drama Club will present its latest play at the event.

Art exhibitions and presentations will also be included.

The festival will take place from 3pm to 10pm each day at 188/1 Nguyen Van Huong Street in District 2. Tickets are priced at VND80,000 for each day or VND100,000 for two days. — VNS
