HA NOI — Two new stamps have been issued in France to celebrate the 45th anniversary (April 12, 1973 - April 12, 2018) of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and France.
The stamps have been issued by the Vietnamese Embassy in France and French Post.
One of the stamps has the logo of the 45th anniversary in the background, inspired by activities between French and Vietnamese students, and has been painted by Reika Firrincieli, a student at the Alexandre Yersin School in Ha Noi.
The second stamp has the image of the two flags and a symbol of five years of strategic partnership between the two countries, which has been designed by the Vietnamese Elite Culture Office in France.
This is the fourth stamp collection issued by the Vietnamese Embassy in France and the French Post.
The first collection was issued in 2008 with the images of Viet Nam’s Ha Long Bay and Bonifacio Strait in Corse Island — two cultural and nature sites recognised by UNESCO.
The second collection was issued in 2013 dedicated to French scientist Alexandre Yersin and his lifetime contribution to Viet Nam. The stamp was issued to mark his 150th birth anniversary.
The third stamp collection was published in 2015 with the images of Ha Noi Opera House, Truong Tien Bridge in Hue and Nha Rong Wharf in HCM City. These three monuments are strongly influenced by French architecture. — VNS
