HÀ NỘI Nisai Group of the UK has established Nisai Global School in Indochina, the first virtual Cambridge school in the region.

An MoU was signed between a representative of Nisai in Việt Nam, Dhruy Patel, and Education4 Group representative Phan Thủy Chi, in Hà Nội on Monday.

The signing ceremony was observed by UK Ambassador to Việt Nam Gareth Ward, who said while pupils and students in Việt Nam were off school due to coronavirus (or COVID-19), some, including his daughter, had been learning online.

“Nisai Global Online School has successfully opened the largest online school in England and other ASEAN countries. Việt Nam now can access this through Nisai Global School,” the Ambassador said.

Across all joint UNESCO IITE and Nisai projects, students would be able to develop their English and Mathematics skills, using the SDGs and the foundation to their learning, said Patel.

With the opening of two Nisai offices in Hà Nội and HCM City, Nisai aims to make Việt Nam the regional headquarters of Nisai Indochina. With Nisai Global School, the first fully interactive online British secondary school in the Indochina region, it aims to deliver quality assured online education for pupils aged 11-19 in Việt Nam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Nisai Group is either IST or OFSTED inspected with courses accredited by OCR, Cambridge and NOCN. In 2019, the group completed their acquisition of Units of Sound, an online literacy intervention tool, designed to help learners with their reading and spelling skills. The programme is used in over 400 schools throughout the UK. VNS
