HCM CITY — More than 120 photos have so far been entered in the Khoanh Khac Thang Long photography competition that was launched on May 20.
Jointly organised by the Department of Cultural Heritage, Sony Electronics Viet Nam, and the Ha Noi Moi newspaper, the competition is being held to celebrate the capital's 1,000th birthday.
Organisers said that among the most notable submissions were Anh Sang 1,000 Nam (Light of 1,000 Years) by Nguyen Van Ba; Thieu Nu va Hoa (Young Girl and Flower) by Nguyen Xuan Chinh; Ha Noi Mua La Rung (Falling Leaves in Ha Noi) by Le Tung Anh and Ho Guom Mua Thu (Sword Lake in Autumn) by Nguyen Thi Hong Nga, who has submitted 10 works.
The photos were posted on the website: www.khoanhkhacthanglong.vn, which has recorded 25,166 hits so far, organisers said.
The contest will run until August 31 when the winners will be announced at the Ha Noi Opera House. — VNS
