HA NOI — An awards ceremony for the most outstanding individuals and agencies who have made great contributions to Vietnamese music this year will be held at Ha Noi's Opera House early next month. Titled "Music Contribution Prize", the awards are aimed at recognising the best singers, musicians, albums, shows and programmes from 2009.
Nominees have been selected by around 100 journalists, who specialise in culture and music.
The Thao&Van Hoa (Sports&Culture) daily and Le Bros Company have co-organised this fifth annual awards ceremony.
Following are the nominees for the Music Contribution Prize 2009.

Last year, My Tam was named Singer of the Year, Do Bao was awarded Musician of the Year, Canh Cung 2 - Thoi Gian De Yeu (Bow 2 - Time for Love) by musician Do Bao was selected as Album of the Year and Vietnamese Songs won Programme of the Year. — VNS
