HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese beauty queen Lê Thị Ngọc Bích finished third at the Miss Asia Ural 2019 in Ekaterinburg City, Russia.
From the southern province of Vĩnh Long, Bích is a final-year student in Hospitality Management and Business at Ural Federal University.
There were eight finalists from different ethnic groups all over Russia and neighbouring countries as well as Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Bích performed Hello Việt Nam and made strong impression on the jury and viewers at the talent competition.
“When the jury announced my name, I felt very honoured and proud,” said Bích. "I decided to participate in the contest to challenge myself thanks to the encouragement and assistance of Vietnamese supporters including consulate general Ngô Phương Nghị and Lê Thành Độ, chairman of the Vietnam Association of Sverdlovsk Province.
"I want international friends to understand better the beauty and hospitality of Việt Nam," she told a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Russia.
Bích also won Miss Friendship at the contest. Miss Asia Ural 2019 went to Milana Kombiu Siurun from the Republic of Tyva, and the runner-up was Victoria Suborova. — VNS
