HCM CITY — The BMW Golf Cup International 2019 - Vietnam Finals competition chose three top semi-professional golfers to represent Việt Nam for the 30th BMW International Golf Tournament, which will be held in South Africa from March 2 to 7.
The three-day tournament was held by BMW Group and THACO from November 16 to 18 at Tân Sơn Nhất golf course in Gò Vấp District.
Since 2019, BMW Vietnam has hosted this tournament to select the winners to represent the country in one of the world's largest amateur golf tournaments, the BMW Golf Cup International World Finals.
This annual tournament is a platform to cultivate new and current relationships among a very exclusive group of BMW owners in Việt Nam
This year, nearly 150 semi-professional golfers who are BMW customers competed in the tournament.
Three of them won tickets to the 30th BMW International Golf Tournament including Nguyễn Đặng Duy Nhất and Phạm Văn Hoàng Phát who were at the top of two male group stages, and Hồ Thị Lành who was at the top of the women's group stage.
Christopher Wehner, managing director of BMW Asia, said the BMW International Golf Tournament had been growing over the past three decades.
“We are delighted that Việt Nam officially participated in the 30th tournament, giving customers the opportunity to compete with many golfers from around the country,” he added.
Võ Văn Minh, deputy general director of BMW distribution in Việt Nam, said: “Although this is the first time, the BMW International Golf Tournament - Vietnam Finals has brought excitement and joy to golfers attending.
