HÀ NỘI — A number of amateur football tournaments have been suspended due to the recent threat of COVID-19.
Seven non-professional competitions will be postponed as the country tries to combat the pandemic.
The decision was made on Tuesday in an attempt to prevent the spread of the virus and ensure the safety of players and coaches.
Events that have fallen foul of the virus are the National Football Championship-On Sport 2020, the U15 national championship, U17 national championship, U16 woman championship, Thái Sơn Bắc woman championship, beach football championship and the national youth and children football tournament.
The Vietnamese Football Federation say they will plan the tournaments at a later date. — VNS
