HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese shooters will compete at the International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup 2024 in Germany.
A team of 10 athletes, including two Paris Olympians Trịnh Thu Vinh and Lê Thị Mộng Tuyền, will compete in seven categories in the Munich competition.
They will have two days, May 31 and June 1, to train before taking aim from June 2 to 7 when the competition gets underway.
The World Cup will be the last major tournament for Olympic participants to prepare for their Summer Games. Meanwhile, other competitors are hoping to up their positions in the world rankings.
"The Munich event plays a key role in helping Vinh and Tuyền sharpen their technique and strengthen their mentality," said Vũ Anh Đào of the Việt Nam Shooting Federation.
Vinh will compete in the women's 10m air pistol and 25m sports pistol events, in which she stands No 54 and No 27 in the world, respectively.
Tuyền, meanwhile, places No. 39 in the women's 10m air rifle. VNS
