ĐÀ LẠT — Chaniport Bachiya of the Thailand national team won the fifth stage of the Bình Dương International Women's Cycling Tournament on March 10.
A short distance of 50km, or 10 laps around Xuân Hương Lake in Đà Lạt, saw high speeds with cyclists opening strong attacks.
After four laps, Bachiya, Umutzhanova Makhabbat of Kazakhstan and Khairunnisa Aleeya Saifulnizam of Malaysia went ahead together and set up a leading group of three.
Bachiya decided to make a strong move at the beginning of the last round. She successfully separated from the group and finished first with a time of 1hr 11.54min.
Makhabbat and Saifulnizam were second and third, respectively.
The rest of the riders crossed the finish line together. Yellow jersey holder Natalia Frolova of Biwase Bình Dương was among them and she maintained her top place in the overall ranking.

Maneephan Jutatip of Thailand led the table with the most points on classified climbs.
In the team ranking, Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Thailand took the top three spots.
The sixth stage will be from Đà Lạt of Lâm Đồng Province to Phan Rang of Ninh Thuận Province for 130km, with Vĩnh Hy Mountain a biggest challenge for riders. VNS
