HA NOI — Bamboo Airways handed four Mercedes cars to Cao Xuan Hung, the winner of the Hole in One (HIO) award at the Bamboo Airways Takeoff Golf Tournament 2018, on Wednesday at FLC Sam Son Golf Links in the central province of Thanh Hoa.
Earlier, Hung shocked the tournament and the golf community by hitting the first HIO of the tournament on hole 11 with a distance of 153 yards.
Along with the cars, Hung won other gifts with total prize value of VND10 billion (US$432,000) including one year of free flights throughout Bamboo Airways’ network and a series of vouchers for FLC’s golf courses and resorts.
“I am really happy,” said Hung in the hand-over ceremony. “It is the first time in my career I have won a HIO award.”
Hung thanked FLC Group, Bamboo Airways and FLC Biscom for organising the big event and said he appreciated the professional organisation of the tournament, which attracted nearly 1,500 international and domestic golfers.
The Bamboo Airways Golf Tournament 2019 is scheduled to tee off at the FLC Sam Son Golf Links from February 15 to 17, with big prizes including hundreds of billions of dong, luxury cars, air tickets, vouchers to play golf at FLC Biscom courses and many other prizes from sponsors. — VNS
