HÀ NỘI — Herbalife Việt Nam presented bonuses for athletes who won gold medals at the ongoing ASEAN Para Games on June 6 in Cambodia.

Herbalife Việt Nam representatives are in Phnom Penh to support Vietnamese athletes with nutrition products and consulting, which are part of the company's sponsorship  programme signed with the Việt Nam Paralympic Association (VPA).

Herbalife Việt Nam also coordinated with VPA to give bonuses to all gold medallists such as powerlifters Lê Văn Công, Nguyễn Bình An and Châu Hoàng Tuyết Loan and swimmers Võ Thanh Tùng, Võ Huỳnh Anh Khoa and Đỗ Thanh Hải.

Athletes of athletics and chess also received their bonuses for outstanding performance.

“We are strongly inspired by the resilience, determination and dedication of athletes with disabilities who always overcome their adversity and difficulties to achieve impressive achievements and bring glory to the country," said Vũ Văn Thắng, General Manager of Herbalife Việt Nam and Cambodia.

"We are very proud of the cooperation with VPA, through which Herbalife continuously provides nutritional products to help athletes increase energy and fitness. With determination, good preparation and a balanced diet, we are confident that they will achieve more outstanding results at this important sporting event."

Trần Đức Thọ, general secretary of the VPA, said: "The support of Herbalife Việt Nam is always important to help our athletes prepare the best for important events including the 2023 ASEAN Para Games. Herbalife's high-quality science-based products help athletes improve and maintain their fitness and endurance to reach their full potential."

Thọ added that he was impressed when the representative of Herbalife Việt Nam joined the team in Cambodia to boost the spirit of the athletes by handing out bonuses to all winners following their support to organise the send-off ceremony for the team in May.

After three days of competition, the Vietnamese delegation has pocketed 31 golds to place third in the medal tally.

Indonesia and Thailand are in first and second, respectively. VNS
