HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Tấn Hoài is back on top after he won the third stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Cup on Thursday.
Hoài of Domesco Đồng Tháp lost his yellow jersey to Võ Thanh An of Châu Thới Vĩnh Long on Wednesday, but his second stage win was enough to put him back in the lead.
He finished the 162km Đồng Hới-Huế stage in a time of 4hr 7.17sec.
He was followed by Nguyễn Văn Bình of HCM City and Quàng Văn Cường of Hà Nội.
After three stages, Hoài is No 1, leaving his nearest rivals, An and Bình, behind by nine seconds.
He is also leading the point classification with 42 points and temporally holds the green jersey.
In the team ranking, Đống Tháp are the best team. Lộc Trời Group and HCM City are second and third, respectively.
In the fourth stage today, cyclists will race four laps around Huế City for 42km. — VNS
