HÀ NỘI – The National Youth Table Tennis Championship began in the northern mountainous province of Lào Cai over the weekend.
The event attracted 720 players from 32 teams nationwide.
Athletes will compete in 36 events with 144 sets of medals in different age groups.
The event aims to give young aces a chance to hone their skills and develop young table tennis stars.
According to the organising board, the event’s best players will be selected for national team to compete in international events.
It will last until next Monday. – VNS
