HCM CITY — Trần Lê Duy Nhất, known as Việt Nam's first and No 1 professional golfer, has put himself in a totally new role in which he would join hands to the lift national golf industry to a new level.
Nhất has agreed to be Strategy Director for VG Corp, important partner of the Vietnam Golf Association, and owner of the Vhandicap and a series of national key tournaments.
"With VG Corp's quality ecosystem along with my experience in the golf industry, I believe our common points of view, thinking and direction will help bring the most comprehensive values to Vietnamese golf," Nhất said.
Nhất will take charge of building and developing comprehensive golf solutions to the Vietnamese golf community.
VG Corp has recently taken charge of the Hidden Castle Golf Club, a technology golf complex present in many Southeast Asian countries, and signed contracts with high-profile partners.
At the five-star golf hub, athletes will practice with the most advanced simulation technology of KGolf's Beyond Golf Simulator 2.0, which can simulate ball motion and analyse shots and the player's skills, offering the experience at more than 100 simulated golf courses worldwide.
"Indoor golf is a quite popular model not only in South Korea but also in countries with developed golf industries such as the US and Australia," Nhất said.
"Cool indoor conditions along with advanced equipment with full analytical parameters will help golfers practice better, well adjusting their movement and knowing exactly the golf clubs' distance. That will make their practice sessions more effective, wasting no time to go on the court's practice range and guess whether the shot will hit or not or how far it goes. Of course, practicing on the course in combination with a machine and standard golf balls is the most optimal condition."
