KHÁNH HÒA — Sông Lam Nghệ An won the National Football Tournament for Children (U11) - Nestlé MILO Cup 2022, after defeating Hải An Tây Ninh 2-1 in the final round at Khánh Hòa Provincial Sports Arena last week.
Navy Phú Nhuận Sài Gòn and T&T VSH shared third place.
Hải An Tây Ninh and Navy Phú Nhuận Sài Gòn won the Fair Play award from the sponsors. Thái Bá Bảo Hoàng of Sông Lam Nghệ An won two awards for top goal scorer in the final round and best player in the final round, while Phạm Doãn Gia Bảo, another player of Sông Lam Nghệ An, won best goalkeeper in the final round.
Organised by Thiếu niên Tiền phong and Nhi đồng newspaper, the Vietnam Football Federation and the Nestlé MILO brand, the tournament has become a football festival for children the summer.
Nestlé MILO brand sponsored many aspects of the tournament, including organisational budgets, stadium decoration, competition uniforms, milk and other drinks, and prizes for football players and teams.
Hoàng Đạo Hiệp, director of Communications and Marketing Services at Nestlé Vietnam, said, “Nestlé MILO expects that from the experiences gained from this year's tournament, the children will have more motivation to continue to nurture their passion for football and become talented players in the future.
