HA NOI — Huynh Thanh Tung of Military Zone 7 won the fourth stage of the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament on Sunday.
The young cyclist finished the 42km round at Ha Noi’s Hoan Kiem Lake with a time of 55.10min, leaving his closest rivals, Nguyen Duong Ho Vu of Minh Giang-HCM City and Bui Minh Thuy of Bike Life Dong Nai, at a distance of 400m.
His outstanding performance pushed him up into first place in the overall ranking after four stages, with a time of 5:26.16, as well as to lead the green jersey competition with 31 points.
Military Zone 7 also moved into first place, followed by Minh Giang-HCM City and VUS-HCM City.
The fifth stage will be the 160km route from Ha Noi to Thanh Hoa. — VNS
