HA NOI — Le Thanh Tung won three gold medals at the National Gymnastics Tournament, which concluded in Lanh Binh Thang Gymnasium in HCM City.
Tung of HCM City overcame two veterans Pham Phuoc Hung and Dinh Phuong Thanh of Ha Noi to claim a gold medal in the men’s all-around.
It is the first time in six years that a gymnast of HCM City has won a gold medal in the men’s all-round category.
Besides this, Tung won gold medals in the floor exercise and horizontal bar events.
Do Thi Ngoc Huong bagged three gold medals for Ha Noi in the women’s all-around, uneven bars and balance beam categories.
The two-day event saw the participation of teams from Ha Noi, the Military, Hai Phong and HCM City. — VNS
