HA NOI — Viet Nam Coal and Mineral defeated Phong Phu Ha Nam 1-0 in the first leg’s fifth round of the National Women’s Football Championship on June 3.
The game was held at Ha Nam Stadium in the northern province of Ha Nam.
With this win, Coal and Mineral rose to second place out of seven teams with 10 points, while the hosts Ha Nam maintained their fourth place with seven points.
Although the two teams made every effort, no goals were scored in the first half.
After the break, Nguyen Thi Hau broke the deadlock for Coal and Mineral in the 74th minute, scoring off a pass from one of her teammates.
