banhni.vnHÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Tennis Federation (VTF) Masters 500 will start in the northern port city of Hải Phòng on September 9.
It is the first time Hải Phòng hosted a national tennis event.
Taking part are 68 players from 12 teams across the country such as Hưng Thịnh – HCM City, Becamex Bình Dương, Đà Nẵng, Hải Dương, and Hà Nội.
Vietnamese number one player Lý Hoàng Nam will compete in this competition wearing the colours of Hải Đăng Club.
The event will also see top players of the country including Trịnh Linh Giang of Hải Đăng, Nguyễn Đắc Tiến of Hà Nội, Từ Lê Khánh Duy of Becamex Bình Dương, Phan Thị Thanh Bình of Đà Nẵng and Trần Thuỵ Thanh Trúc of Hưng Thịnh – HCM City.
Participants will compete in the men’s and women’s singles and doubles.
The event, which has a total prize of VNĐ500 million (US$21,700), will end on September 15. VNS
